The Biography Of Nollywood Actor Yul Edochie

Yul Edochie is a (talented) multiple award winning Nigerian actor and also the great son of legendary Nollywood actor Pete Edochie.

Yul Edochie is the last son of the prolific Nollywood Legend Chief Pete Edochie. Born on the 7th of January 1982 into a well grounded christian family made up of six children. Yul grew up partly in Lagos and the eastern part of Nigeria where he had a very sound basic education.
 
He loved the arts as a result of his father’s influence and background but being a stickler for professionalism he decided to study the course first which took him to the prestigious University of Port Harcourt where he bagged a B.A degree in Theatre Arts in 2003. After NYSC Yul joined Nollywood in 2005.

Career
He featured in his very first movie in the same year which starred heavy weights like the late Enebeli Elebuwa, Justus Esiri, Clarion Chukwura, Chidi Mokeme and a host of others. The movie was titled: The Exquires, Directed by Kabat Esosa Egbon. Then the struggle began.w06eui2tto_edozie

Even though Yul’s father (Pete Edochie) was already well established in the business Yul wanted to be his own man, make his own name and not live under the shadows of Pete Edochie his father. So he never stopped hustling till his break came in 2007 when he got his first big role in a movie titled: Wind of Glory, starring Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot, directed by Tchidi Chikere.Yul_Edochie_Portrait The movie was a huge success that launched him into the scene but he didn’t stop there. In 2009 he won the city people’s award for best new actor and was nominated in 2011 for best actor.
